Editorial & affiliate policy.
Our aim is to make useful information and commercial relationships easy to understand.
Researched guides and reviews
Our guides use manufacturer specifications and authoritative sources to explain product choices and practical setup. When we publish a practical review, we will describe what was tested, how it was used and any limitations of that experience.
For dimensions and operating requirements, we refer to manufacturer information. Always check the specification for the exact component or kit you are buying; similarly named products are not automatically interchangeable.
Affiliate advertising
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Amazon links on Mersey Direct use our affiliate tracking tag. These links do not change the price you pay.
Mersey Direct may earn commission when a reader makes a qualifying purchase through an identified affiliate link. Affiliate product sections and links will be labelled clearly as advertising, before readers engage with that content. If an article is wholly about affiliate-linked products, it will be labelled as advertising upfront.
The retailer handles the transaction, payment, delivery and returns. Partner availability and prices can change, so check the retailer’s current information before buying.
How recommendations will be presented
We will explain who a suggested product may suit, what compatibility checks are needed and what limitations apply. We will not describe a product as personally tested unless that testing has taken place.
Commercial relationships will be identified where relevant. A policy page does not replace the advertising disclosure beside the actual content.
Corrections
If a specification is outdated or an explanation is unclear, please email contact@merseydirect.co.uk with the article title and the relevant source. We will review the issue and correct the content where needed.
